Notably, Moeller and Sugg are the first two recipients of this prestigious award, setting a benchmark for future nominees through their exceptional contributions and pioneering efforts.

2025 MOELLER-SUGG IMPACT AWARD RECIPIENTS

Clair MoellerClair Moeller

Retired President and Chief Operating Officer of MISO

 Mr. Moeller was MISO's long-time president and chief operating officer, retiring from the organization on December 31, 2024. Moeller led all aspects of the MISO Operations division, including grid operations, forward markets, system planning, external affairs, information technology and corporate services. Before joining MISO in 2004, Mr. Moeller was with Xcel Energy for 25 years.

 

Barbara SuggBarbara Sugg

President and Chief Executive Officer of SPP

Ms. Sugg announced in 2024 that she will retire in April 2025 following 35 years of service. Sugg joined SPP in 1997 and was appointed President and CEO in April 2020. Her career has spanned every level of leadership, including roles as SPP's Senior Vice President of IT and Chief Security Officer.

 Barbara participates in several industry organizations and serves on a number of community and philanthropic boards. She is the founder of the Leadership Foundation for Women and is also a certified executive coach.
