Important: GCPA does not provide direct scholarship funding to individual students and does not have a scholarship application process. Our programs are administered through partner organizations as described below.
GCPA provides funding for scholarships administered by MISO, SPP, and ERCOT. Each year, these regional transmission organizations identify 4-5 recipients from among their student interns who demonstrate exceptional promise in the energy field. Selected interns receive GCPA-funded scholarships to support the completion of their college or university education.
How to Apply: Students interested in this scholarship opportunity should pursue internship positions directly with MISO, SPP, or ERCOT. Scholarship recipients are selected by the respective RTO from their intern pools.ACES is an early career talent recruitment program offering education, exposure, and collaboration opportunities for students interested in the energy and utilities industry. Launched in 2022 through a partnership between MISO, SPP, and Entergy, the program has expanded to include ERCOT and PJM.
Rising juniors and seniors from partner colleges and universities are invited to attend ACES, where they participate in educational sessions, networking opportunities, and team competitions. To date, more than 60 students have participated in ACES, and many have been placed in full-time roles with one of the partnering RTOs or other energy industry companies.
GCPA funds competition awards for the winning teams at ACES events.
