"Wind-Power Works in ERCOT"

We have a lot of wind-power in Texas and more is coming. What has been happening? Has reliability suffered? Are conventional generators able to adjust? Are consumers benefiting? Is anybody making money? Where is the next wave of wind-power coming? How does solar plug in? How should you be investing? Is there a true soul-mate in your future?  Our speaker Walter Reid of Walter J. Reid Consulting has all the answers.

Walter Reid has been a consultant since 1995, providing assistance to clients addressing the changes in the electric energy marketplace. Specifically in the area of wind power, his work has included representing The Wind Coalition in establishing the wind-power related Texas nodal protocols and developing technical requirements for wind-power in ERCOT re monitoring performance of wind-power response to dispatch instructions and to frequency deviations. Prior to becoming a consultant, Walter was with the LCRA from 1970-95 and served as the Executive Director of Power Production from 1992-95 and the Executive Director of Electric Operations from 1989-92. Walter received a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from Tulane University in New Orleans.
