"The Impact of Environmental Regulatory Changes on the ERCOT Grid"

Join us for Warren Lasher's presentation about the impact of environmental regulations on the ERCOT grid. Warren will discuss what we know, what we have learned from our studies, and some initial implications for grid reliability. ERCOT has run several studies of potential impacts to the grid, and Warren will summarize these studies, discuss likely combined reliability impacts, and other implications to the ERCOT system.

As Director of System Planning for ERCOT, Warren is responsible for transmission planning, load forecasting and resource adequacy analyses for the ERCOT interconnection.  Warren has been at ERCOT for over eleven years; before this, he was employed by the Southern Company in Birmingham, Alabama, where he worked in the Engineering and the Planning organizations.  Mr. Lasher has a Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics, and graduate degrees in Environmental Management and Computer Science.
