"Austin Energy: 2015 Update"

Our speaker Larry Weis, General Manager of Austin Energy, will give an update on Austin Energy and its most current issues.

Larry joined Austin Energy in September 2010. He has more than 30 years of experience in the electric and water utility industries, and more specifically, publicly owned utilities. Larry came to Austin Energy after spending 10 years as general manager at California’s Turlock Irrigation District. He was general manager of the Pend Oreille Public Utility District (PUD) from 1990 to 2000 and began his career at Snohomish PUD in northwest Washington State. Larry serves or has served on the boards for a number of associations and national and regional joint action agencies within the utility industry and on private corporation boards. He is considered an expert in strategic planning within the utility industry and has provided substantial innovation and growth to those he has led. Larry is a graduate of the School of Sciences and Technology at Western Washington University.
