"CAES as an Alternative to EPA Rules”

Compressed Air Energy Storage (CAES) continues to be a generation option that fits unique niches. Perhaps it can help “store” the wind generation in West Texas. Perhaps it can be used to help meet the new EPA clean air requirements. It is this latter aspect that Dean Tuel will discuss.

Dean Tuel is the Vice President of Business Development for Crescent Power, Inc. with over 23 years of experience in the European and North American energy industry. He has extensive experience with expanding companies into new markets and new technologies. He has specific expertise in power deal origination, renewables, asset acquisitions, and management of commercial operations. Dean’s recent appointments include Vice President of Business Development at Xtreme Power, Vice President of Energy Marketing at E.ON Climate & Renewables North America, Sr. Director of Energy Marketing at West Energy, Sr. Director of Business Development and Origination at Cargill Power Markets.

Dean has extensive experience in origination & energy management area including oversight of commercial operations and negotiations of various agreements. His specific experience include (a) negotiating and closing QSE agreements (b) negotiating and closing multi-billion dollar transactions for physical asset and structured products.
