Award Instructions

ELIGIBILITY: 

  • Nominees must be either a) a member of GCPA, or b) an employee of a state government entity serving the electric power industry, such as ERCOT or the Public Utilities Commission of Texas (PUCT).

  • Nominees must be less than 40 years old at the end of the calendar year in which the award is presented and cannot be a past recipient of this award. 

  • Complete all sections of both forms (Incomplete forms will not be considered and both a Nominee and Nomination Form must be completed).

  • The questions for both the nominee and nominator are designed to provide insight into the following key areas: 

    • Career Experience & Growth 

  • Creativity & Innovation 

    • Demonstrated Leadership and Ability to Serve as a Role Model 

  • The nominee must attach a current resume along with this nomination form. 

  • Submit the completed form using the online forms (linked above)  by 5:00 PM on Monday, July 28, 2025. 

    AWARD SELECTION PROCESS (2025): 

    • A special awards committee selected by the GCPA Board of Directors will review all nominations. 

    • The committee will evaluate nominees based on the information provided in the nomination form, the nominee's resume, and the nominator's statement, focusing on the criteria of career experience growth, creativity & innovation, and demonstrated leadership & role model qualities. 

    • The committee will select a recipient and notify them and the nominators on or after Tuesday, September 2, 2025. 

    • The recipient will be presented with the award at the GCPA Fall Conference on Tuesday, September 30, 2025.
