Donna Benefield

Donna Benefield serves as Senior Vice President, Finance Operations, where she oversees the Program Office, Supply Chain, and Chief of Staff for the CFO. In this role, she leads enterprise-wide initiatives, drives integration strategies for mergers and acquisitions, and manages Robotic Process Automation and Continuous Improvement efforts. NRG’s Supply Chain team optimizes indirect procurement, travel and purchasing card programs, contractor oversight, and supplier management. She also serves as the Chief of Staff for the CFO to deliver strategic Finance initiatives, employee engagement and finance alignment.

With over 30 years of experience in the energy and technology sectors, Donna brings deep expertise in delivering integrated solutions and guiding organizations through transformation. Prior to her current role, she served as NRG’s Senior Vice President of Information Technology and held consulting positions at Maryville Technologies and Accenture.

Donna holds a Bachelor of Science in Business and Computer Science from the Milwaukee School of Engineering and an MBA from the University of Arizona. She has been certified in Project Management by the Project Management Institute since 2007 and currently serves as a board member and officer of the Gulf Coast Power Association.
