Professional Bio
Alexandra Williams joined Guidepost Energy in 2025 as Vice President of Origination. Guidepost is a consulting firm in north Houston founded by a group of industry veterans focused on providing energy consumers with creative solutions to complex power problems.
Prior to her current role, Alex was Vice President of Origination for Industrial Sun, a utility-scale net-metered solar developer. Her extensive career experience in the power sector includes contracting over 3GW of renewable power purchase agreements and managing over 15GW of aggregated power generation and demand response resources. Prior to Industrial Sun, she worked at ExxonMobil Corporation (XOM), where she developed and expanded ExxonMobil’s participation in the power markets. Her work included renewable power purchases, trading, growing the demand response portfolio, and managing key relationships and accounts in ERCOT, CAISO, and MISO. Alexandra began her career at MP2 Energy on the real-time desk and later moved on to EDF Trading North America.
Alexandra is a NERC certified Reliability Coordinator and a graduate of the University of Houston with a B.A. in History and a B.S. in Political Science. She was the 2021 recipient of the Gulf Coast Power Association’s Empowering Young Professionals Award.
