Join us as Stacie Bennett provides a review of the major legislative changes from the 86th Legislative Session impacting the electric and energy industries in Texas.  Ms. Bennett will cover legislative activity (or inactivity) on a wide variety of topics, including transmission development, regulated utility rates, grid security, storage, and other important issues.

Stacie Bennett has served as Policy Advisor to Governor Greg Abbott since December 2017, with responsibility for policies affecting the Public Utility Commission of Texas (PUCT) and the Electric Reliability Council of Texas (ERCOT), as well as a wide variety of other state agencies.  Ms. Bennett was previously General Counsel for Senator Paul Bettencourt.  Prior to her time in Texas politics, Ms. Bennett represented clients in private practice in New York, New Jersey, and Texas. Her background spans a broad spectrum of legal areas including class actions and mass torts, as well as commercial, employment, product liability, and state tax litigation.
