Houston February 2018 Luncheon

"Point/Counterpoint: Energy Market Rules Changes"

Join us for our February luncheon in Houston and hear a presentation from Bob Helton, Sr. Director of Regulatory Affairs at Dynegy. There are always two sides to every story or energy market design. This discussion will explore the status including the possibility of any implementation of the PUCT project to assess price-formation rules in ERCOT’s energy-only market. The discussion will also include a point/counterpoint to each of the suggested design changes so the audience can see both sides of the issues.

Bob Helton is responsible for developing regulatory/market design policy in support of Dynegy's generation development and market activities within the Electric Reliability Council of Texas (ERCOT), including extensive participation in the Legislative, ERCOT stakeholder and Public Utility Commission of Texas (PUCT) processes for the development and modification of the ERCOT retail and wholesale market design and protocols. He has served as a member of the ERCOT Board of Directors, Technical Advisory Committee, chairman of the Wholesale Market Subcommittee and a board member of the Competitive Power Advocates Legislative Lobbying Consortium.
