Director of Administration - Wholesale Electricity Market, CENACE

 

This is the second meeting in a recurring breakfast series organized under the auspices of the Gulf Coast Power Association (GCPA) to be held in Mexico City. This meeting will be in Spanish.​

 

Our speaker, Marcos Valenzuela, received a degree in Electromechanical Engineering from the ITR of Tijuana and a master's degree in Electrical Power Systems from UANL. He has over 36 years of experience in Mexico’s electricity sector. He held several key positions in the Baja California Control Area of Comisión Federal de Electricidad. He was elected as a member of the Board of the Western Electricity Coordinating Council (WECC) as representative of Mexico-CFE from 2009 to 2014. He is currently Director of Administration of the Wholesale Electricity Market of CENACE where he leads the implementation and operation of the wholesale electricity market in Mexico.

GCPA & ISME Member Pricing: $29 USD/550 MXN

Non-Member Pricing: $34 USD/650 MXN

 

  • Pre-registration closes at 12 noon Wednesday, November 29th. If registration is closed, walk-in registrants are welcome on a space-available basis at the event. There will be a $5/90 MXN surcharge for walk-in registrants.
  • Government employees are encouraged to contact us directly for guidance on registration.
  • Registrants for Mexico City breakfast events should only use the Eventbrite link above. Please DO NOT use the standard registration pages of GCPA or ISME.
