"GridLiance: A New Player in the Transmission Market"

Join us in Austin for a presentation on GridLiance, a new player in the transmission market. GridLiance is the first independent transmission copany focused on working with municipal utilities, join action agencies and electric cooperatives to solve transmission issues and manage transmission costs.

Our speaker Calvin Crowder is President of the South Central Region for GridLiance. His responsibilities include development and execution of the Company’s strategy to collaborate with Public Power partners to invest in regulated transmission projects that deliver lower cost and more reliable transmission services, and provide greater access to renewable energy sources. Calvin has twenty-six years of experience in the utility industry which spans executive leadership, public policy, industry restructuring and RTO development. Prior to his current position, he led the formation and served for over eight years as president of Electric Transmission Texas, LLC, a joint venture of American Electric Power and Berkshire Hathaway Energy. Under his leadership, ETT invested in $2.8 billion of regulated transmission assets in ERCOT. Calvin has provided expert testimony in multiple regulatory proceedings, developed and advocated public policy positions at the state, federal and RTO level and directed major initiatives in business development and organizational restructuring. He currently serves as Chairman of the Governing Board of Directors for the Make-A-Wish Foundation of Central and South Texas. Calvin earned a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from New Mexico State University and a Masters’ degree in Economics from the Center for Public Utilities graduate program at New Mexico State University.
