Welcome to the sixth annual GCPA MISO South Regional Conference. Once again, this conference will focus on the ongoing challenges to MISO South, including southeast Texas, southern Mississippi, Arkansas and Louisiana.
This year the conference will look at market mechanics and where the future of MISO South is heading. We welcome back MISO President and CEO John Bear to provide his annual look and to start the strategic discussion by addressing MISO strategic initiatives. As you can see, the agenda peers into the future in numerous sessions, but also provides perspectives on how the market is working now with sessions on operations and market metrics. After all, you can’t address the future if you don’t know where you are starting. We close the conference with a CEO roundtable as we hear a frank discussion on where they see the market going.
What would a GCPA event be without networking? You will have the opportunity to meet with many of your peers in the electric power and industrial sector all day, but plan on staying for the reception after the presentations. Mix and mingle, make new contacts, re-establish former contacts and make post-event dinner plans to continue the conversations. All of this is happening in New Orleans. We hope you will join us.
