LOCATION CHANGE FOR THIS MONTH!
Please note that this luncheon has been moved to the
Texas RE Meeting Room in order to better accommodate our attendees.

Solar is becoming a powerful player in the ERCOT market, and ERCOT’s own analysis estimates more than 14 gigawatts of new solar over the next 15 years. What does the future hold for Texas’ solar industry? And what political and market dynamics could impact the path to >14 GW?

Our speaker Spivey Paup is the Development Director at Recurrent Energy where he leads the company’s project development activities in Texas and the eastern United States. Spivey is based in Austin, Texas. Recurrent Energy is a leading U.S. solar project developer with nearly 1 GW of solar projects under development in Texas. With more than 2.1GW of executed power contracts, over $8 billion in project financing commitments to date, and a project pipeline of more than 4 GW, Recurrent Energy has the resources and capabilities to deliver solar at any scale.

Prior to joining Recurrent Energy, Spivey spent nine years at E.ON Climate & Renewables North America developing wind and solar projects and growing the company’s solar and battery storage business. At E.ON Climate & Renewables he served as director of solar development. Prior to his career in renewable energy, he served as senior policy advisor for the U.S. House of Representatives in the Office of Congressman John R. Carter. Spivey received his bachelor’s in international studies from Texas A&M. He then decided to pursue his passion for alternative energy solutions and earned his master’s in business administration from the University of Texas.

Please RSVP no later than 12 noon on Thursday, August 24th. Walk-ins are welcome on a space-available basis – see below policy for information. Please email Cathy Fry at cfry@navigant.com if you have any questions about the luncheon.
